The Artistic Treasures, Burried Inside the Endless Rows of Shops, in Kumbhakonam's Kadattheru ( Commercial Streets)

The artistic treasures, burried inside the endless rows of shops, in Kumbhakonam's Kadattheru ( Commercial Streets)  :  Write-up on the Journey & Experiences, Below the Pictures

Here are a few sample pieces of the artistic marvels of Kumbakonam, that I had captured into my readily available, handy Smartphone Camera, for sharing these wonders, with the lovers of ethnic arts & crafts, locally made in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu :

During our recent visit to Kumbhakonam this year, we spent the whole day, with our cultural, spiritual & religious tours of renowned temples of the region. Dravidian Architecture was at its Zenith, when these Immortal temples were built, by the ruling kings of Tamil Nadu in the medieval history of South India.

I am told, there are more than thousand temples in this small town of Thanjavur district. Was then, a short stay of just one week, enough to explore the whole of Kumbakonam & its
architectural & artistic wonders? Perhaps impossible. Perhaps, we needed to come here once again, with of course, Amma's consent, which of course, is very difficult to get.
😆

Direct encounter with God Almighty, in our inhouse Pooja-room at home, is perhaps a practically feasible & achievable idea. And our dear Amma will wholeheartedly support this move, without resistance.  😆

Shekhar spent the evenings in Kumbakonam, mostly entertaining himself with National & International politics, on TV Channels. And Rohan, tried to compensate for the loss in the evenings, with his client projects, Skype calls, Conference Calls, and Web Meetings. Virtual Economy Business Model, has made life very easy, and less complex for the working professionals, in this 21st century, with massive technological advancement around the globe.
Can we then call Science or Technology, a curse or bane to human life on earth ?? A subject matter for serious thought !!!

And I had the whole evening for myself, till the evening dinner time, without any interference & without தொண தொணா. I spent the pleasant evenings wandering in the commercial streets of Kumbakonam, exploring all the brass, bronze, Panch-Loha & Temple-Wood Carving shops, flooded with massive heaps of these artistic wonders.
