A Musically Inclined Family Of Incorrigible Musical Maestros ( ????? ) :)

A Family Of Musical Maestros, That We Are (?????) : Couldn't Put a Bigger Question Mark, Due to Bugs in This Buggy Facebook :) :) :

There is no place in the house for living humans, but the blessed musical instruments, are having a Bindaas life, occupying all the available expansive space, celebrating life, and living life to the fullest. :)

The electric guitar arrived from the US, when my sonny dear Rohan was in his Plus 2, I mean Indian 12th Standard of High School, but was very soon dumped aside heartlessly, when the time came for Rohan's leaving the country, for his undergrad
studies. Guitar came to India, and the Maestro Rohan left, for occupying its space, in its country of origin.

I didn't know, what to do with the instrument, and where to accomodate the homeless creature, in our gingling museum???

The most strategic move in our house, was our decision to buy a massively huge Godrej Almirah, sometime in the past. We thought, we'll stash all the shit loads of cash, moolah, Rokdaa &
Thuttoo, that we'll be amassing in life, inside this secret cave, without anybody's knowledge. :).

Godrej has all the space inside it today, to accomodate, even an elephant from the local Mysore zoo. But the people around it are, Bondees & Bondees & Bondiest, I mean Total Broke, living on alms & charities. :)

It's ages now, and the inmates of the grand museum, are still waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the blessed day of Sunshine & Moonlight. Not even a tiny oil lamp is visible anywhere. :)

Anyway, our purchase of this massive Godrej hasn't gone totally waste. Our homeless electric guitar has found some spacious accomodation, on top of this blessed Almirah, touching the
ceiling, enjoying all the cool breeze of the electric fan, in the adjacent space....no rents, no advance, no loans, no EMIs......

As the electric guitar is unusually noisy, creating earthquake like tremors in the whole seismic zone of our aged Terrace Garden, with our blessed apartment as the epicentre of the Quake, Rohan took the most sensible decision of importing one more guitar from the US, this time plain silent, ultra soft, melodious accoustic guitar, for generating waves of immense serenity, tranquility & peace all around the house.

With the gift of lovely voice, that the Almighty has blessed him with, & along with the melody of the accompanying accoustic guitar, the environment at home becomes very serene, and very
tranquil, every now & then, whenever he needs a small break, a real break, from the turbulent, roller coaster ride of the enrepreneurial journey, that he has chosen in life.

We get immersed in meditative mood, in the soothing melody of Ghazals of Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Old Hindi Songs of Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh, & some of the most beautiful Western Pops of the old times. It's real fun, to sing to the tunes of accoustic guitars, including classical & semi classical numbers.

Finally, there's this Hawaiin Guitar of mine, lying in a corner of the Pooja room, most uncared for, begging for love & care. The only caretaker & lover in its lonely life, is our dear Carnatic Musician Ashwin Girish , who plays Carnatic Ragaas on the instrument, during his occassional vists, to Terrace Garden.

Rohan gifted this Locally made Desi intrument to me, when he got his first cheque from his very first client, so that I may revive my old passion for playing Hindustani Classical Ragas on Hawaiin Guitar.

सस्ता और टिकाऊ .... CHEAPESHT AND THEEE BESHT. :) , in  Desi lingo of our dearest Rohan :)

His intentions were noble, and so were my intentions. But, with immense agonies in my grief stricken mind, I have to admit honestly in public today, that I am so huge, and so massive these days, that the poor guitar is finding it extremely difficult, to park itself comfortably on my hospitable lap.

Music Lover Ashwin Girish alone is its Life-Saviour now. Else, the local Gym of massive & tough athletes, boxers & wrestlers, is the only Saviour, for this loveless orphan. :)
