Melur Meadows : A Serene Senior Citizens' Home on the foothills of Ooty :

A brief Write-up follows the following pictures of Melur Meadows. Please don't miss it. This was originally one of my facebook posts, perhaps last year, if I remember correctly.

Appa never wanted me to go anywhere away from him ; never ever. I spent five long years with him by his side in Bangalore at TGA Apartments.

He often used to tell me, " பன்த பாசமே இருக்க கூடாது மாலா குட்டி . பன்த பாசம் இருந்தால்தான் வாழ்க்கையில் எல்லா கஷ்டமும் ." I used to see tears in his aged eyes whenever he said this. He repeated the same sentence last January too ( Exactly a year back ) when I was leaving for Melur Meadows on the foothills of Ooty. 

Melur Meadows is a senior citizens home like a beautiful resort amidst lush green surroundings of Western Ghats. My husband Shekhar was very keen to book a place for us in this serene Senior Citizens' Home, so that we may shift into it if ever there's a need in our life in the far off future.

Am sharing a few pictures here of this beautiful serene meadows. Last year I was too reluctant to share these pictures in public forums, as Appa would never have liked to see me shifting to such places even in far off future. Now since we've dropped the idea at least temporarily about Retirement Homes, I thought why not share at least the pictures in my Blog, as the place gave us a lovely cost effective holiday for a fortnight.

Lovely lunch, lovely dinner followed by lovely sumptuous breakfast. Several functions like Pongal, Christmas etc.
